Monthly Wrap – January 2023

I’m not sure how, but it looks like we’re already near the end of January! Time to wrap up the month and go over what I managed to accomplish, as well as what I hope to do next month.

The cycle never ends, so let’s get started already!

What I Did…

If nothing else, I’ve managed to get 2023 off to an excellent start by finally posting here again. And yes, that absolutely counts as progress (otherwise I’d just be standing still and I have too much nervous energy for that).

After the longest hiatus ever, I’m really happy to (try) post again on a semi-regular basis, even if I’m not quite up to where I was before. Hopefully, it will just keep getting easier with time and practice.

As mentioned in my last update post, I the goal is to post one review a month, and this time around it was Shadowless by Randall McNally. It’s a gritty, dark, and epic fantasy with a killer premise and excellent delivery. Check it out if you haven’t already!

Also! If, like me, you’re trying to get more into audiobooks lately, it’s also available here for purchase and download!

What Comes Next…

I definitely have a lot of catching up to do, but just to give you a peek at what’s to come, here’s what I’m hoping to finish reading in the next few months.

Both The Mauraders and Dark Heart are long overdue some time in the spotlight, and they are first on my list for reviews in the coming months. Thank you again to the authors for your patience while I got my act together. You guys are the best.

After that, I have a few books that have been calling my name, as well as a few novellas that definitely need to be talked about here as well. By me, to you guys, because I have thoughts and feelings and you’re going to hear about them.

I’m also looking forward to continuing some of my previous segments, like Read or Roast. I’ll never get through my TBR otherwise, and it’s only managed to get bigger since i’ve been away. Add to that my (terrified) hope of posting some of my own writing as well, and I have a lot of work cut out for me in February.

And I can’t wait to drag you all along for the ride

Before I wrap up this wrap up (sorry not sorry) I want to say thank you again to everyone for continuing to follow this blog and diving into the hoard with me once more. I’ve missed this – like, a lot – and it feels really good to get started with you all once again.

Have a fantastic rest of January and a great start to 2023. At least it’s not 2022 anymore!

Happy reading everyone!
