Monthly Wrap – March 2022

Hey everyone! It’s time to wrap up the previous month once again, and I won’t lie, March has been a pretty crazy time for me. Unfortunately, that means that the content here has slowed down as a result. Much as I wish I had nothing else to do but make semi-entertaining blog posts for the internet, the real world has demanded a lot more of my time.

As I mentioned in my last update post, I recently got a job in publishing *insert happy dancing here* and I’m still flying high because of it. But that’s also meant that I’ve been putting most of my focus there instead of diving into a book. It’s a hard sacrifice, but I’m still just so excited about this opportunity that it’s almost worth not staying up until 3:00a.m. to finish reading… Almost.

That’s enough rambling; on to the books!

What I Did…

While this wasn’t the best month for me in terms of reviews, I was absolutely ecstatic to be a part of the blog tour for Our Bloody Pearl by D.N. Bryn. If you haven’t checked this book out by now, what on Earth are you waiting for? It has the sweetest romance, incredible characters, and a siren protagonist who’s non-binary, disabled, and loves to snack on humans; what’s not to love?

A(Nother) Quick Update was a short but necessary post to keep everyone informed, and more importantly, features possibly one of the best gifs I’ve ever featured on this blog:

My content will never be able to compete with this.

Aside from that, I continue to be the biggest fan of Top Five Tuesdays (and hopefully I can finish April without missing a day!) and still really enjoying making TBR Treasures and Read or Roast as well. Having even more ways to talk about cool and amazing books just makes my little book-loving heart so happy. And making you all listen to it makes it that much better!

What I’m Reading…

Shamefully, I didn’t manage to finish Shadowless by Randall McNally for last month like I intended, and I owe the author my sincerest apologies for being late. But to make up for it, that will be the first review I post this month and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.

The other book for this month will the The Holy Grail War by Armanis Ar-Feinial. And with a series title called The Hedgehog I’m pretty sure it’s going to be right up my alley. This was another author submitted book and I absolutely cannot wait to get started. I feel spoiled for choice lately!

What Comes Next…

Not too much to say here, since I want to make sure I’m not spreading myself to thin, but maybe I can be more ambitious in the months ahead. Going forward, I’ll try to keep my posts to at least two a week, and hopefully I can keep my goal of putting out two reviews a month without too much issue. It’s going to be a bit of a balancing act, but I’m sure I can get the hang of it eventually.

I also want to try and actually devote some of my time and energy to my own writing again. It might take a while before anything actually appears on the site, so keep your eyes peeled for that exciting update in the future! Wish me luck!

What I’m Looking Forward To…

Just like in last month’s wrap up, have a look below for a bunch more incredible titles releasing in March this year. Currently taking bets on how long it will take me to get to any of them!

Once again, thank you so much everyone for continuing to follow this little blog. I hope you all have a fantastic April wherever you are, and that we can finally get rid of this cold weather once and for all!

Keep safe, and keep reading!
