Managed to make it almost six months before I had to post another one of these.

I’m counting that as a win.

First off, thank you to everyone who reads my rambling updates. As I (ominously) mentioned in my last post, there are some changes coming, and I wanted to share them with you all because you’re awesome and deserve to know what’s happening before I drop off the face of the Earth again.

Just kidding about that last part!

Anyway, the big news is actually something I’ve been working towards for sometime now, and honestly, I’m still pinching myself to make sure that it’s actually happening.

I GOT A JOB IN PUBLISHING!!! *Que the happy dancing*

That’s right, at long, LONG, last, my passion for books has finally led me to a job in my dream field and I literally could not be more thrilled. It’s a first step to be sure, but it’s a step in the right direction and I’m so excited to see where this takes me.

Obviously, I want to do well and fully dedicate myself to this job and all the opportunities it can provide me. And, as it will also take up a lot of my time, I’ve made the decision to take a small step back from my blog – at least for the time being. This means that I’ll be posting less than usual, and although I’m hoping to keep it to around twice a week… well, we’ll see how it all goes.

This also means that some books I planned to review may not get a post until much later on, or may have to be deferred entirely. I still have scheduled reviews for those wonderful authors who have requested a review, but as of today I will be closing down submissions again until further notice. While I am sad that I won’t be able to read or post as much as I used to, I think it’s better for me to pull back for a while and focus to make sure I’m really putting all my effort into this new job.

I am still hoping to do at least one review every month, as well as some fun posts throughout like normal, but if I’m slow to respond, that’s the reason why. And you can still look forward to some revamping and reorganizing of the site as I continue to tweak away.

Also, my coworkers have already discovered my blog (hi everyone!) so things are going to be super professional around here. As they always were, obviously.
