Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Shanah @Bionic Book Worm, and is now being hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads. You can check out last week’s post here!
Here we are: the last Top Five Tuesday for 2021 and it’s being posted on a Friday.
I only just started participating in this meme in October (which seems like it was yesterday) but it still feels unreal how fast this year has flown by. And that probably because of how much fun I had being a part of this meme. A huge thank you to Meeghan for organizing everything and for all the amazing prompts. I can’t wait to see what’s next for 2022.
Because I started a bit late in the game, I’ve decided to list five new goals to focus on throughout 2022, and hopefully by this time next year I’ll be able to look back and see what I’ve managed to accomplish.
With all that said, let’s get to it!
Top Five Tuesday Wrap Up 2021
Post on My Blog Three Times a Week

When I first started this dragon-themed blog, I was only posting about once a week – which was fine to start with since I really didn’t know what I was doing. But as of today, I’ve managed to post at least twice a week since October, and I was thrilled to be able to keep doing this consistently (or as close to it as possible)!
For 2022, I want to take that to the next step and add a third post to the week. Top Five Tuesday will definitely be continuing, as well as my regular reviews and Showtime posts, but hopefully I’ll be able participate in more book tags throughout the year, and find even more book related content to post about as well. If I can post three times a week (almost) every week of 2022, I’ll consider it a massive success. Wish me luck!
Reach a New Follower Milestone

This year I managed to reach fifty followers for this little dragon book hoard! I was so excited to get to that milestone – I honestly never thought I’d get here – and I’m still so thankful for everyone who reads, comments, and likes my blog posts.
For 2022, I’m setting my sights on a new milestone: 100 followers on WordPress. It’s going to be a challenge for sure, but I’m hopeful I can reach that goal by this time next year. And to everyone who already follows me, thank you for getting me this far already. It makes me smile every time I see someone engaging with my content and I’m trying hard to improve with every post.
Finish Two Entire Book Series

I have a terrible habit of picking up the first book in a series, absolutely loving it, and then never getting around to the sequels. I have no idea why this has become a trend, but for 2022, one of my goals is to end the cycle of abandoned series.
I’ve kept it small with just two series to finish entirely, but I’m not counting series I started in 2021 so hopefully that will make it more of a challenge. I also won’t be counting ongoing series, since I probably already own at least two finished trilogies. Clearing off some of my massive TBR should probably also be on this list, but then my hoard would disappear and the dragon in me just won’t let that happen.
Post At Least Two Book Reviews Every Month

This one is more of a continuous goal than a new one, but I’m still counting it as a challenge to myself. I love reading, even when my life is hectic and it’s hard to find the time. So I want to continue posting twice a month at least for the whole of 2022. I’m really hoping this goal will help me to meet all my reading goals, and maybe even a few reading challenges next year. I certainly have the TBR list to make it happen!
Read At Least Twenty-Six Books in 2022

A review every other week means reading two books a month; that comes to twenty-six books for me to read in 2022. It’s a pretty low goal all things considered – I follow so many bloggers who manage to read well over a hundred! – but 2021 was a slow year for sure and I only managed to read and review eighteen books in total, so twenty-six is still an improvement.
And, since my main goal is consistency, this feels like a good, manageable way to keep me posting, and keep me from burning out too soon. We’ll see how many I manage to read by the end of the year; maybe I’ll surprise myself.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my 2022 Goals. It’s going to take some dedication, but I still feel like I’ve set myself some goals I can accomplish, or at least make a solid effort!
Once again, thank you to everyone who keeps up with my little corner of the internet, and my ever growing book hoard. You are all awesome, and it’s been an incredible year getting to know you all.
Thanks for reading, and Happy 2022! Let’s leave 2021 in the dust and have a better new year. Check out more of my posts below!
