Review: Daughters of the Storm by Kim Wilkins
With grand magic, an epic quest, and the fate of a kingdom in the balance, Daughters of the Storm sets up all the right pieces for an epic tale, but fails to make us care.
Review: Unravel the Dusk by Elizabeth Lim
Unravel the Dusk is a magical conclusion to Elizabeth Lim’s Blood of the Stars duology, even with a bit of uneven stitching at the seams.
Review: King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence
Unrepentantly brutal and yet undoubtedly compelling, King of Thorns pulls readers down the dark path of a prince desperate for power and vengeance.
Review: The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang
An intense, brutal epic that unfolds at a breakneck pace. R.F. Kuang’s The Poppy War is one of the most powerful and memorable books I’ve ever read.
